ABOUT THE ROLE
The Environmental Test Engineer is responsible for supporting environmental testing activities for UAV systems. This role contributes to test planning and execution, develops and applies appropriate test methodologies, ensures compliance with applicable standards and system requirements, supports test data analysis and issue resolution, and collaborates with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver successful test campaigns.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the planning and execution of environmental test campaigns for UAV systems and major programs.
  • Contribute to the development of qualification strategies and coordinate with customers and relevant certification teams as required.
  • Support failure investigation, data analysis, and root cause identification related to environmental testing.
  • Support the development, validation, and improvement of test infrastructure, equipment, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with and provide technical support to other engineers during test activities and technical reviews.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate test documentation in accordance with internal quality systems, applicable standards, and audit requirements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in environmental testing, including leadership roles on major programs in aerospace, UAV, or defense systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-810, DO-160, and NATO/AIAA standards.
  • Proficiency in test automation and advanced data analysis tools.
  • Skilled in technical risk management, margin testing, and qualification-by-analysis.
