We are seeking an experienced Esports Platform Developer who combines a passion for gaming with robust technical skills in software development and a proven track record of managing dynamic online platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining our esports tournament module to meet the evolving needs of gamers worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Tournament System Development: Enhance and further develop our existing esports tournament module.
- Platform Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the platform, ensuring its stability, efficiency, and scalability.
- Esports Insights: Apply knowledge of the esports industry to influence platform enhancements and feature developments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to drive the project towards launch and scalability.
- User Engagement: Implement features that enhance user engagement and satisfaction, leveraging the latest in gaming technology and trends.
- Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor the platform’s performance and make adjustments as needed to handle user load, particularly during high-stake tournaments.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the platform exceeds the highest standards of quality and performance, incorporating rigorous testing and feedback loops into the development process.
- Innovation: Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies that can potentially be integrated into our platform to enhance the user experience.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field.
Experience: 7+ years in software development with hands-on experience in managing live online platforms. Prior experience in the gaming or esports industry is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Experience with front-end technologies such as Angular, or Flutter and server-side frameworks like .NET or Node.js.
- Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Esports Knowledge: Strong understanding of the esports landscape, including tournament structures, player communities, and industry standards.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and user feedback to inform development priorities and decisions.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about complex issues.
Continuously optimize network and software configurations to minimize latency and maximize real-time interaction for all users.
