About the Role This position is focused on reviewing and preparing detailed documentation and cost estimates related to HVAC systems for various projects. The role requires collaboration with design, procurement, and project teams, ensuring all technical and commercial requirements are met while identifying potential risks. Key Responsibilities - Review tender documents, HVAC drawings, specifications, and BOQs to understand project requirements. - Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for HVAC systems, including ductwork, chilled water piping, refrigerant piping, insulation, and related accessories. - Prepare cost estimates for HVAC equipment, materials, labour, installation, testing, and commissioning. - Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. - Prepare RFQs and follow up with suppliers to obtain competitive prices. - Analyse supplier quotations and compare technical and commercial offers. - Coordinate with the design, procurement, and project teams to clarify technical and commercial requirements. - Identify discrepancies, omissions, and potential risks in tender documents. - Prepare cost breakdowns, rate analysis, and tender submissions within the specified deadlines. - Assist in value engineering and cost optimisation without compromising quality or technical requirements. - Maintain records of quotations, cost estimates, and tender documentation. - Participate in tender clarification meetings and provide support during commercial negotiations. - Ensure estimates comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and company procedures.
