ETO CAD Designer

About the Role
The CAD Designer is responsible for preparing and maintaining engineering or sustaining project design layouts, production drawings, and other related documentation per ANSI/standards. The role involves considering methods of manufacture and tolerances and their effects on related parts or assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Function as a design engineer for routine corrections.
• Prepare average complexity original mechanical layouts using the CAD system.
• Depending on seniority, use the CAD system to prepare and maintain the highest complexity mechanical and average complexity electrical and electronic product and production drawings and other related documentation from layouts, sketches, or verbal instructions.
• Be responsible for the accuracy of assignments, except for design features that are the responsibility of the project engineer.
• Understand ANSI drafting methods, standards, and procedures.
• Understand manufacturing processes and techniques as well as the interpretation of ANSI standards and procedures.
• Possess basic knowledge of the mechanical field and, depending on seniority, partial to total knowledge of the electrical and electronic product line.
• Maintain status reports on all projects assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in CAD design.
