ETO CAD Designer

About the Role
The CAD Designer is responsible for preparing and maintaining engineering or sustaining project design layouts, production drawings, and other related documentation following ANSI/the company standards. This role involves considering methods of manufacture and tolerance and their effect on related parts or assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Function as a design engineer for routine and correction tasks.
• Prepare average complexity original mechanical layouts using the CAD system.
• Depending on seniority, prepare and maintain the highest complexity mechanical and average complexity electrical and electronic product and production drawings and other related documentation from layouts, sketches, or verbal instructions.
• Ensure accuracy of assignments, except for design features that are the responsibility of the project engineer.
• Understand ANSI/the company drafting methods, standards, and procedures.
• Familiarity with the company manufacturing processes and techniques, and interpretation of ANSI/the company standards and procedures.
• Possess basic knowledge of the mechanical aspects and, depending on the seniority, partial to total knowledge of the electrical and electronic Product Line.
• Maintain status reports on all projects assigned.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in a relevant field.
