ETO CAD Designer

About the Role / About the Job
The CAD Designer is key to preparing and maintaining engineering or sustaining project design layouts, production drawings, and related documentation in accordance with ANSI/the company standards. This role involves considering manufacturing methods and tolerances and their impact on related parts or assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Function as a design engineer for routine or corrective tasks.
• Prepare original mechanical layouts of average complexity using CAD systems.
• Depending on seniority, create and maintain high-complexity mechanical and average-complexity electrical and electronic product and production drawings and other related documentation from layouts, sketches, or verbal instructions.
• Ensure accuracy in assignments, barring design features that fall under the project engineer's responsibilities.
• Understand and apply ANSI/the company drafting methods, standards, and procedures.
• Comprehend the company manufacturing processes and techniques, and interpret ANSI/the company standards and procedures.
• Possess basic knowledge of mechanical systems and, depending on seniority, partial to total knowledge of electrical and electronic Product Line.
• Maintain status reports on all assigned projects.

• Years of experience required: 0-3 years.
