Execution Trader

The role involves the execution of orders (equity, fixed income, or otherwise mandated) on behalf of the institutional clients (domestic and foreign) based on their instructions, while adhering to the policies and procedures set by FABS, the exchanges, and the regulators.

Responsibilities

• Operate within the target departmental Budgets as set by the Head of Institutional Desk (10-15% of department targets).
• Achieve targets through service excellence in execution and timely, articulate execution reporting.
• Work closely with Sales traders to ensure the best executions for all clients.
• Execute buy and sell orders on behalf of institutional clients and document orders and transactions regarding trading activities.
• Manage order distribution within the execution team and perform trades manually if required (after obtaining the necessary approvals).
• Process orders, forms, and applications for the purchase or sale of securities while maintaining a high standard of professional execution.
• Prepare documents which require physical signatures of the customer and perform customer information validation while taking orders.
• Call assigned clients regularly to discuss markets and ideas while arranging meetings with clients.
• Assist the trading department in converting leads of institutional clients and ensure adherence to legal, compliance, and risk management policies and procedures.
• Prepare daily and weekly call reports to send to the Head of Desk.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in relationship management, with at least 3 years in a brokerage firm (Broker Dealer experience preferred).
• Graduate degree in finance, marketing, or economics.
• Strong relationship management and business development/sales skills.
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of ESCA and UAE markets regulations.
