Position

About the Role
The Executive Director – Technology Lead is a foundational executive role responsible for defining, governing, and delivering end-to-end sports technology strategy across all Sports Business Unit (SBU) assets. This includes early planning, concept design, construction, commissioning, and a structured transition into operations under the Asset Management organization.
The role does not assume responsibility for day-to-day asset operations once venues are handed over to the Asset Management team, but ensures that sports venues are designed, delivered, and documented with full lifecycle integrity. It focuses on transferring technology intent, architectural decisions, and integration logic effectively to maintain organizational knowledge.
This position establishes SBU as the custodian of technology design intent and institutional memory, helping Asset Management and operators run assets efficiently, evolve them safely, and avoid long-term technical debt. This continuity reflects global best practices as the technology-led assets require ongoing involvement from the original design authority for optimization, upgrades, servicing strategies, and future-proofing while maintaining clear operational accountability.
Through this approach, the Executive Director – Technology Lead ensures the company's sports assets remain globally competitive, future-ready, and fully integrated with the broader city technology ecosystem throughout their entire lifecycle.
