Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of CNN Global Productions content in the Middle East, ensuring high editorial quality and operational excellence.
- Identify opportunities to enhance existing sponsorships and create new programming concepts.
- Develop content strategies for sponsored and unsponsored campaigns based on audience insights.
- Manage multi-platform content from pitch to completion, including productions filmed on location.
- Coordinate with CNN editorial teams and on-air talent to align projects with broader editorial goals.
- Ensure production planning, logistics, and risk management comply with CNN Standards & Practices and regional regulations.
- Monitor production budgets, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time and within budget.
- Serve as a senior editorial liaison with network leadership, and cover for the Executive Director of Content Creation as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Extensive experience in an editorial leadership role in digital-first, multi-platform content creation, especially within premium feature content across various domains (news, business, travel, style, and sport).
- In-depth knowledge of the Middle East, including business, economic literacy, regional geopolitics, and cultural understanding.
- Strong expertise in international newsgathering and feature production practices, including editorial standards.
- Proven ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary editorial teams while meeting defined performance goals.
- Proficiency in Arabic and/or other regional languages is desirable.
