Expert Engineer/Application & End Point Security

The Expert Engineer/Application & End Point Security will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of Web Application Firewalls (WAF) deployed for both internal and external customers. This role requires close collaboration with other Cybersecurity teams to ensure the protection of web applications against various cyber threats, including the OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provision web applications on WAF, including requirements gathering, defining protection scope, and creating tailored security profiles.
• Fine-tune new security policies via rigorous testing of web application flows.
• Plan and perform security enhancements on existing security profiles with minimal impact on live traffic.
• Maintain and update web application certificates on WAF.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits of WAF configurations.
• Monitor WAF system resources and ensure they are within threshold ranges.
• Ensure WAF deployments are updated with the latest vendor-supported OS versions.
• Evaluate and apply corrective measures for security vulnerabilities on WAF.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of WAF configurations and security policies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in WAF administration and web application security.
• Certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or similar are preferred.
• Expertise in WAF F5 troubleshooting and in-depth understanding of web application security principles.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewall technologies, and web server platforms.
• Experience with scripting languages for automation and customization of WAF configurations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the security and effectiveness of web applications through robust WAF administration and proactive monitoring. Work conditions include on-site, full-time in Dubai, UAE.
