The Expert Engineer/Enterprise Security Architecture is responsible for recommending, planning, designing, and implementing necessary security controls to safeguard Etisalat’s infrastructure services. This role involves thorough review of design documentation adhering to Etisalat’s security practices and guidelines, covering services such as 5G, 4G, 3G, MPLS, Internet, Cloud, NFVi, SDN, Data Centers, IoT, and IPTV.

Key responsibilities include conducting quarterly risk assessments of the services mentioned above in accordance with Etisalat’s Risk Management approach, engaging with multiple stakeholders, and providing professional guidance to subordinates.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of security architecture and design best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments for services, identifying threats, vulnerabilities, and their impacts.
- Undertake risk management methodologies and implement remediation plans for identified issues.
- Have a strong grasp of virtualization technologies and their security requirements.
- Possess in-depth technical knowledge of core telecom infrastructure networks.
- Develop policies, standards, and guidelines for telecom and IT services.
- Create security guidelines for services such as Mobile, IoT, and Cloud.
- Manage security vendors from selection to operations.
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers during the purchase cycle to ensure alignment with financial and technical requirements.
- Maintain good documentation and presentation skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications and IT standards (e.g., ITU, ETSI, ISO, SIA).
- Familiarity with security products and emerging technologies.
- Information security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CEH, GRC, etc. are preferred.
