Expert Engineer/Network Security

We are seeking an Expert Engineer in Network Security, responsible for reviewing and implementing necessary security controls to protect our infrastructure services in alignment with our security practices and guidelines. This role includes managing a variety of services: 4G, 3G, MPLS, Internet, Cloud, Data Centers, and IPTV. The Expert Engineer will provide support for On-Call Escalations and participate in a routine roster for change management functions.

Responsibilities:

• Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network security-related issues
• Manage and administer security devices, including Arbor DDoS, Peakflow, TMS, and AED
• Understand attacking behavior and different techniques used in DDoS attacks
• Possess knowledge of networking and firewalls
• Handle access control lists and policy filters on high-end Cisco routers and switches
• Analyze packet captures to understand attack behavior and implement necessary countermeasures
• Collaborate with stakeholders and service owners to plan infrastructure expansion and upgrades
• Diagnose problems and resolve issues under time constraints
• Coordinate with security planning for new projects ensuring adherence to best security practices
• Provide Level 2/3 support to diagnose issues causing service degradation or interruption in the network security domain
• Work with TAC on hardware, software, and network problems, including RMA for faulty equipment
• Offer call-out support on all L2/L3 escalations 24/7

Qualifications:

• Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering (BS/BE)
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in network security
• Proficient technical knowledge of security devices, infrastructure networks, Internet, Cloud, Data Centers, and IPTV (MPLS, 3G, 4G, 5G)
• Experience in a telecom environment is preferred
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing security controls for telecom, cloud, and IT services
• Security Certifications: CCNP (Security) and CEH are preferred
