Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise schedule resource loading and leveling, alongside project construction cost budgets.
- Review cost, schedule, and contract activities, define current and potential risks, and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate scoping requirements for overall cost estimates by discipline or specialty, ensuring timely and complete acquisition of scope definition and related data.
- Forecast management performance and develop/evaluate construction status reports and calculate final construction costs.
- Investigate construction cost management and relevant investment factors.
- Prepare or review indirect cost estimates, developing bases for temporary facilities, miscellaneous construction services, construction tools, equipment, and start-up services.
- Conduct meetings with relevant departments and subcontractors.
- Support the Field Control Manager in setting up and executing field control procedures and work processes for assigned projects.
- Review subcontractor project control requirements.
- Maintain steady progress in construction and strategize to reduce overall costs.
- Instruct construction personnel and track progress of construction operations including material, supply, tool, machinery, equipment, and vehicle utilization. Follow manpower allocations as per monthly plans.
- Identify and address potential construction disputes and claims.
- Manage miscellaneous construction records as required.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science/Engineering or equivalent.
Experience
- Experience in construction within the Gas/Petrochemical EPC Plant field.
- Mandatory experience in Cost and Schedule Management.
- Preferred experience as a Field Control Coordinator (Cost, Schedule, Contract) from other companies.
- EPC Contract experience preferred.
- Experience at various sites in the Middle East is an advantage.
Knowledge
- Understanding of construction management principles including forecasting of schedules and costs, risk management, and planning mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication and management skills with proven leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of legal issues and safety standards is essential.
- Familiarity with challenges in oil/gas/petrochemical or power plant construction, along with associated cost/schedule/risk factors.
- Ability to operate Primavera for project schedule control and distribute resources effectively across activities.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding engineering drawings and knowledge of international standards used in engineering.
