Field CTO

About the Job:
IBM Software seeks a Field CTO to be part of a high-impact team that transforms customer challenges into industry-leading solutions. In this role, you will contribute to HashiCorp's offerings, now part of IBM, which empower organizations to automate and secure multi-cloud and hybrid environments. You will manage the lifecycle of infrastructure and security, enhancing IBM's cloud solutions to help enterprises achieve efficiency, security, and scalability.

Role and Responsibilities:
The Field CTO is responsible for executive-level engagement, strategic product feedback, and supporting sales teams by building pipelines and maintaining long-term relationships with customer leadership. As a trusted advisor, you will guide customers in business, technical, and organizational aspects to drive successful outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

• Engaging with C-level executives and internal teams to influence strategic customer messaging.
• Participating in webinars, speaking events, round tables, and advisory boards to showcase thought leadership.
• Collaborating with product and marketing teams to deliver customer insights that shape product direction.
• Driving executive briefings and aiding in education and mentoring within the sales and customer success teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Management Information Systems or relevant industry experience.
• Proven history of executive engagement with large enterprises.
• Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills, particularly in dynamic situations.
• Technical depth in cloud automation, DevOps, and security with experience in infrastructure automation tooling.
• Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with IBM and HashiCorp products and services.
