About the Role
The Field CTO role is a senior external technical position, designed for an individual with substantial credibility in the AI field. This role focuses on engaging with enterprise boards, CIOs, and CTOs on a peer level. You will play a pivotal role in shaping how strategic accounts perceive their AI strategy, representing the company at major industry events, and publishing thought leadership that conveys a clear perspective on the evolution of AI. Collaboration with regional sales leadership is essential, as you will relay insights gathered from executive conversations back into the company's product direction. The position is inherently externally facing and leverage-driven, with success measured by relationships established, content created, and impactful executive discussions initiated.

What You Will Do

Executive Engagement
- Manage the Executive Briefing Center in partnership with your regional VP, serving C-level stakeholders at strategic accounts.
- Develop and maintain trusted-advisor relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and VP Engineering across your territory.

Thought Leadership
- Consistently publish articles, whitepapers, and analyses regarding the future of enterprise AI.
- Brief Gartner and Forrester on the company's roadmap and market positioning.
- Keep track of frontier research and incorporate it into customer discussions.

Conference and Event Presence
- Serve as a representative at major industry events through keynotes, panels, and roundtables.
- Cultivate a public presence that attracts interest from enterprise executives and the broader AI community.

Market Feedback
- Synthesize insights from executive discussions to inform product direction, particularly around governance requirements and deployment challenges.
What We're Looking For
- Established credibility in the AI domain, demonstrated through a public record of published papers, articles, or presentations that reflect a clear and defensible viewpoint.
- A well-articulated position on open-weight models and their significance for enterprises adopting them, aligning comfortably with the company’s ethos.
- Fluency in European data sovereignty and on-premise deployment, capable of addressing tough inquiries from CTOs or VPs of Engineering.
- Comfort in engaging C-level stakeholders across various industries, discussing technical architecture paired with business strategies.
- Ability to converse credibly across financial services, manufacturing, defense, and energy sectors, without needing to specialize in any single area.
- 10–25 years of experience in enterprise technology, having held roles such as Field CTO, Principal Architect, or VP Engineering at a major cloud or AI firm, or as a founder who established executive credibility through their own enterprise.
- Willingness to travel 30-50% depending on the region.

- An existing network of CTO and CIO relationships within enterprise accounts in your region.
- Previous experience as a Field CTO or similar externally facing technical role in a major cloud or AI company.
- Proficiency in multiple languages relevant to your region.
