Field Duty Manager OFS Telecom

The Field Duty Manager OFS Telecom will manage the Corrective & Preventive Maintenance Activities for Mobile Systems, including 5G, Public Wi-Fi, Core telecom, Enterprise Customer Radio Link, Customer Premises Equipment, and other relevant systems across the UAE. This role includes handling traffic management (provision, cessations, re-routing) and responding to network failures due to hardware issues. Duties also involve managing planned outages and the acceptance of new projects.

Responsibilities:

• Review productivity, work practices, and the efficient deployment of resources and personnel.
• Manage network maintenance activities to ensure efficient operation in accordance with manufacturers’ guidelines, international telecom regulatory organizations, and internal policies.
• Guide field staff in complex rectification and maintenance tasks.
• Interface effectively with internal and external personnel to address operational issues.
• Conduct regular audits of field staff and ensure compliance with safety and security guidelines.
• Follow up on rectification of issues as per defined service level agreements (SLAs).
• Investigate and provide incident reports for field staff visits.
• Manage monthly PM site targets and rectify snags.
• Co-ordinate with consultants, vendors, and contractors for site visits.
• Represent the section in group meetings and generate management reports.
• Manage outsourced activities and resources as per contract.
• Schedule hardware checks and carry out independent site visits.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Telecom Engineering from a reputable university.
• 12-15 years of experience in field operation and maintenance of telecom networks.
• Valid UAE driving license.
