Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a hardware support expert liaising with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Provide timely technical solutions for internal customer problems.
- Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware.
- Plan and commission new rack positions, and be involved in the design and commissioning of new whitespaces.
- Install structured cabling, keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies.
- Adhere to defined Health & Safety processes at all times.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team; additional work at customer locations may be required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with data center design and basic airflow management.
- Proficiency in systems administration (Linux and/or Windows Servers), hardware repair, networking fundamentals, and IT hardware concepts.
- Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written.
Work Conditions:
- This position involves on-call duties; candidates must have a driving license and be able to reach the Data Center within approximately 60 minutes.
- The role may require working in cramped spaces or elevated locations.
Language Requirements:
- Good command of the English language is required.
