The Field Engineer is responsible for supervising the on-site installation, configuration, and maintenance of cameras, sensors, and related equipment. This role requires expertise in troubleshooting and ensuring the successful integration of field devices into the overall system. Reporting to the Hardware Lead, the Field Engineer will be a key player in ensuring operational readiness and infrastructure integrity.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the installation and configuration of cameras, sensors, and other field equipment to ensure proper operation and alignment with project requirements.
- Collaborate with partners, local entities, and internal teams to ensure the timely and accurate deployment of all field devices.
- Conduct on-site troubleshooting and testing to verify the correct installation and functionality of equipment, resolving any issues as they arise.
- Plan and manage routine and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure continued performance and reliability of all deployed equipment.
- Oversee and manage edge installation infrastructure changes, ensuring proper documentation, testing, and approval processes are followed.
- Maintain detailed records of on-site activities, installation procedures, and issue resolutions, providing regular updates to project stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven 5 years of experience in on-site installation, configuration, and maintenance of technical equipment. Experience in liaising with contractors or being a contractor is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with diagnostic tools.
- Excellent coordination and communication abilities to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Kazakh, Russian, and English languages.
