About the Job
Working as a Field Service Engineer to execute the installation, testing, and commissioning activities at customer sites or the company's projects related to the Transformer and OLTC products, including third-party Transformers if applicable and authorized by the company's management.
Responsibilities
- Active participation in site activities and visiting the customer site for installation, testing, and commissioning of transformers and other equipment as required or assigned by the line manager.
- Coordinate/interface with tools management department, take care of transformer tools, and arrange and properly use the company's PGSV test equipment and tools to execute site activities for PGSV Products installation, testing, and commissioning, protection, and control.
- Complete transformer installation and transformer compartment assembly work, minor fabrications if required, troubleshoot, and rectify defects of the company's products workable at the customer site and advise on action plans if repair work needs to be carried out in the company's factory or workshop.
- Support the work activities of PGSV Service at site or at customer workplace.
- Learn and perform test equipment operation used for transformer product testing and maintenance work at site, customer premises, or the company's workplace.
- Work with the Project Management team on various projects as needed with full compliance with PM requirements and maintain discipline as advised by the PM or customer site regulations.
- Lead the contractor or sub-contractor during job execution and coordinate with customer and back-office support for any resource requirements to complete the job. Get the PAC or timesheets signed by the customer after completion of assigned tasks for invoicing.
- Prepare and provide site reports, activity plans, and resource requirements and share them with the PM, line manager, or supervisor.
- Follow company rules and regulations, display good behavior at the office and site, and report any safety or integrity incidents to line manager, supervisor, or project manager.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly timesheets, expense reports as per company guidelines in a timely manner, and prepare travel authorizations prior to site or deployment travels.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Previous experience of 3-4 years in transformer and OLTC products, electrical equipment, protection and control, monitoring of transformers and measuring devices for transformer and OLTC.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Arabic is required.
