Field Service Engineer

About the Job: The opportunity involves working as a Field Service Engineer to execute installation, testing, and commissioning activities at customer sites or the company projects related to high voltage (HV) products, including third-party HV products authorized by the company management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Active participation in site activities and visiting customer sites for installation, testing, and commissioning of HV GIS, GCB, LTB, DTB, and other equipment.
• Coordinate with the tools management department, manage HV tools, and ensure proper use of the company HV test equipment.
• Complete GIS installation and compartment assembly work, perform minor fabrications as needed, troubleshoot, and rectify HV product defects.
• Support PGHV Service work activities at the site or customer workplace.
• Learn to operate test equipment used for HV product testing and maintenance.
• Collaborate with the Project Management team and comply with PM requirements and customer site regulations.
• Lead contractors or subcontractors during job execution, coordinating with customers and back-office support for resource requirements.
• Prepare and provide site reports, activity plans, and resource requirements, sharing them with the PM, line manager, or supervisor.
• Follow company rules and regulations, report safety or integrity incidents to the appropriate personnel, and embody the company’s core values of safety and integrity.
• Submit weekly and monthly timesheets and expense reports in a timely manner, and prepare travel authorizations prior to site deployment.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 3-4 years of previous experience with high voltage products, electrical equipment, switchgears, HV switchgear protection and control, and monitoring and measuring devices in industrial or utility companies is preferred.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Arabic is required.
