The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing on-site technical support and services for the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems. Reporting to the Business Line Manager, this role focuses on ensuring a safe work environment and supporting our customers effectively during all phases of equipment operation.

Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to all company safe work procedures.
- Understand and apply industrial safe work processes and standards in the ASU, hydrocarbon, and petrochemical environments.
- Advise customer representatives and contractors on accurate equipment construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
- Read and interpret prints, flows sheets, and product designs; liaise between field personnel and engineering/project managers to resolve technical issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems by identifying, defining, analyzing, and making timely decisions involving customers and project management.
- Communicate effectively, maintaining free and open lines of communication.
- Travel independently to customer sites, representing the company.
- Generate trip reports after each visit, detailing the scope of work performed.
- Manage monthly expense reports, ensuring they are complete and accurate.
- Willingness to travel to both domestic and foreign sites.
Qualifications
- Technical or Associate's Degree.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Air separation, natural gas liquefaction, or complex process control operations
- Instrumentation and control
- General maintenance of industrial equipment
- Compressors and compressor maintenance
- Turboexpander and compressor installation and maintenance
- Industrial mechanical maintenance
- Industrial electrical or electrician experience
- Industrial Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC)
- Fluency in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
- Ability to read P&ID, electrical drawings, design specifications, and engineering documents relevant to customer installations.
- Proficient in interpreting safety rules, material safety data sheets, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Capacity to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines, set goals, and manage time effectively to achieve objectives.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
