The Field Service Technician is responsible for the delivery, installation, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of pressure control equipment at customer locations. As a highly experienced technician, the Field Service Technician III performs all tasks independently while also training and supervising lower-level employees. This role may also involve leading daily operations on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain Wellhead & Pressure Control Products.
- Identify, analyze, and repair product failures based on Manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Provide technical product orientation and basic user functionality training to customers when required.
- Collaborate with field staff to manage workflow and communication.
- Advise customers on correct installation and operating procedures for equipment, as well as necessary maintenance.
- Ensure complete and accurate job reporting.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, specifically working with wellheads.
- Experience in pressure testing equipment as per API standards for wellhead testing.
- Understanding of flow lines and annulus bleed systems.
- Able to work in a multicultural environment and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to make decisive actions.
- Preferred Engineering Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering, with relevant hands-on experience with equipment such as Wellheads, Valves, and Piping.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong English skills preferred; additional languages, especially Arabic, will be an advantage.
- Basic computer proficiency with MS Office is preferred.
- Valid EHS certifications as required by the customer.
Travel Requirement:
This role requires working in customer locations on a rotational basis in Kuwait.
