Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in site activities and visit customer sites for the installation, testing, and commissioning of HV GIS, GCB, LTB, DTB, and other relevant equipment.
- Coordinate with the tools management department to properly manage and use the company HV test equipment and tools for executing site activities.
- Complete GIS installations and compartment assembly work, conduct minor fabrications, and troubleshoot HV product defects at customer sites while advising on necessary repair plans.
- Support the work activities of the PGHV Service at the site or customer workplace.
- Learn and operate test equipment used for HV product testing and maintenance and understand the tools required for HV service jobs.
- Collaborate with the Project Management team on various projects while ensuring compliance with PM requirements and site regulations.
- Lead contractors or subcontractors during job execution, coordinating with customers and back-office support for resource requirements.
- Obtain PAC or time sheets signed by customers after completing assigned tasks to be used for invoicing.
- Prepare and provide site reports, activity plans, and resource requirements to the Project Manager, line manager, or supervisor.
- Adhere to company rules and regulations, demonstrating good behavior at the office and on-site, and report any safety or integrity incidents to management.
- Implement value-added practices in daily activities and prepare weekly and monthly timesheets and expense reports per company guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Uphold the company’s core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for actions while caring for colleagues and the business.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Previous experience of 3-4 years with high voltage products, electrical equipment, switchgears, HV switchgear protection and control, as well as monitoring and measuring devices in industries or utilities companies.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Arabic is required.
