The opportunity involves executing installation, testing, and commissioning activities at customer sites or the company projects related to high voltage (HV) products, including third-party HV products as authorized by the company management.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in site activities and visit customer sites for the installation, testing, and commissioning of HV GIS, GCB, LTB, DTB, and other equipment as required.
- Coordinate with tools management to handle HV tools and ensure proper usage of the company HV test equipment for site activities related to HV products.
- Complete GIS installation and compartment assembly work, conduct troubleshooting, and rectify defects in HV products. Advise on action plans for repairs that need to be carried out at the company factory or workshop.
- Support PGHV Service work activities at site or customer workplace.
- Learn and operate test equipment used for HV product testing and maintenance at site or customer premises.
- Collaborate with the Project Management team on various projects while adhering to project management requirements and site regulations.
- Lead contractors or sub-contractors during job execution, coordinating with customers and back-office support for resource requirements.
- Obtain PAC or time sheets signed by customers upon completing assigned tasks for invoicing purposes.
- Prepare and provide site reports, activity plans, and resource requirements to the Project Manager, line manager, or supervisor.
- Follow company rules and regulations, report safety or integrity incidents, and implement values in daily activities.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly time sheets and expense reports as per company guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
- 3-4 years of previous experience with high voltage products, electrical equipment, switchgears, and monitoring and measuring devices in industries or utilities.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Arabic is required.
