Field Service Engineer

About the Job:
As a Field Service Engineer at the company, your responsibilities will include studying the contractual scope of site work, applicable specifications and standards, and electrical scheme drawings. You will prepare site test procedures and formats, plan and schedule testing and commissioning activities, and verify the availability of necessary documentation. Key tasks also include preparing relay setting calculations, conducting testing and commissioning of equipment, and issuing validated test documentation and certifications.

Additional responsibilities involve investigating malfunctions, coordinating with customers for outage requirements and work permits, and ensuring compliance with safety rules. You will perform tests on protection relays and substation electrical equipment and develop testing and commissioning procedures. Maintaining excellent relationships with clients and offering technical guidance to field technicians will be crucial in this role.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Power & Controls, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of proven experience in testing or design and construction of similar facilities.
• Proficiency in reading electrical single lines, DC schematics, and equipment wiring diagrams.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and industry standards.
• Willingness to exhibit strong leadership, organizational skills, and attention to safety.
• Proficient use of testing equipment such as CMC256 and CMC100.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Language Requirements:

• Proficiency in English (additional languages may be an advantage).
