Field Service Engineer

About
Field Service Engineering work is focused on providing technical advice to customers including commissioning, installing, and testing of products/equipment. This includes identifying and correcting more complex problems associated with start-up and researching, evaluating, and recommending new products or equipment upgrades that will meet customer needs.

How you’ll make an impact

• Actively participate in site activities and visit customer sites for installation testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of the company HV GIS, GCB, LTB, DTB, and other equipment as assigned.
• Coordinate with the tools management department to manage HV tools and test equipment for site activities related to HV products installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Complete GIS Bay or GIS compartment assembly work, conduct troubleshooting and rectification of HV products at customer sites, and advise on necessary repair actions.
• Learn and perform the operation of test equipment used for HV product testing and maintain compliance with project management requirements.
• Lead contractors and coordinate with customers and back-office support during job execution.
• Prepare and provide site reports and activity plans, and ensure timely submission of weekly and monthly time sheets and expense reports.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and the company Energy values.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 6-10 years of experience in high voltage products, electrical equipment, switchgears, and HV switchgear protection and control.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Arabic is required.
