The Field Service Engineer is responsible for handling all DCS/CS activities in the field for all the company Grid Automation projects, including on-shore, off-shore, in UAE, and to support Oman. This role involves closely coordinating activities with the DCS Engineering & Field Service team, Project Management, Application, and After Sales.

Key Responsibilities
- Shall be capable of preparing Signal List from Schematics and other applicable documents.
- Shall have sufficient knowledge to prepare Interlocking documents from Main PLD.
- Responsible for the Field Services activity of the Substation Automation Systems including DCS/SCS, RTU, and Cyber security.
- Take complete ownership of technical activities for assigned projects (EHS coordination and follow up, Site Survey, Engineering, Design, Follow Up and Support Panels Integration, Pre-FAT Internal Validation, FAT with customer, Supervise Site installations, Conduct Site Testing and commissioning, Site Red mark-up and As Built Drawings, system troubleshooting and rectification).
- Perform, coordinate, and record tests for digital inputs, controls, measurements, interlocks, IEC61850 IED’s and SCADA signals.
- Prepare As-Built documentation for SCS documents (consoles, data lists, IP address plans, connectivity drawings).
- Demonstrate good communication and writing skills, with experience in preparing and presenting reports to multiple persons.
- Manage resource planning and workload to ensure a 90% and above billable ratio for assigned projects/sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electronic/electrical engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in DCS (Distributed Control System), SCS (Substation Control System).
- Strong knowledge in integration of protection main relays and busbar with DCS/SCS systems.
- Ability to understand and implement technical drawings (wiring diagram, P&ID, General Arrangement, etc.).
- This role requires 100% travel across the region.
Desired Characteristics
- PMP certification is an advantage but not compulsory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts to business and technical personnel.
