About the Job:
The Healthcare Digital Field Service Engineer is responsible for directly managing a collection of critical applications (e.g., Enterprise RIS, PACS, Archiving, Integrations, etc.) throughout their life cycle, including survey, installation, regular health checkups, updates and upgrades, recalls, troubleshooting, migration, user training, and customer education. The role involves supporting multiple software packages and routing them to the appropriate support groups to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction within the medical industry. Strong experience with RIS/PACS/VNA & HCIT systems/workflows and hands-on experience with GEHC SEI Products is a significant advantage.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Master all aspects of system installation and support as per company standards and guidelines (installation documentation, 3rd party applications, hardware installation, etc.).
  • Work directly with other support teams to help reproduce and resolve customer issues.
  • Drive customer communication during critical events and lead retrospective meetings.
  • Implement projects that enhance support-related processes and improve customer technical support experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Handle daily operations and support customers in their use of Healthcare IT applications.
  • Solve problems through analysis or escalation and track solutions.
  • Act as a central point of contact for end-user complaints and questions.
  • Conduct routine health checkups of the installed base, ensuring system quality and functionality.
  • Attend project activities as required (e.g., Survey, pre & post Go-live support, onsite field engineer).

Desired Characteristics & Requirements:

  • Minimum experience in healthcare technology, preferably Healthcare IT.
  • Proven experience in Radiology Solutions, Cardiology Solutions, RIS, PACS, Archiving/VNA, and system integrations.
  • Good knowledge of key protocols used within Healthcare IT systems (e.g., DICOM, HL7, IHE).
  • Understanding of key components of infrastructure (data Centers, LAN, WAN, storage, servers, backup, cloud, security, etc.).
  • Exceptional soft skills; approachable and humble demeanor.
