The Field Support Engineer plays a vital role on an on-site support team, responsible for supervising and supporting radio communication systems at customer locations. This role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, maintenance, and coordination with back-office teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Daily supervision and monitoring of infrastructure components and equipment.
- Initial diagnosis and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues.
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance, including hardware replacements and software updates.
- Providing technical support to customers and escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Extensive travel is required, with deployments across 20 sites in the country, and security clearance is needed for military base access.
Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
- 3+ years in field or technical support roles, particularly in operational or customer-facing environments.
- Hands-on experience with electronic equipment, IT systems, and radio communication systems.
- Preferred experience in Defense projects or critical infrastructure.
- Diploma/degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, IT, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency with Linux-based systems and knowledge of radio communication principles.
- Familiarity with Ansible or other automation tools, networking fundamentals, and RF equipment.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Language Requirements: Fluent in English; proficiency in French and Arabic is a plus.
