About the Role
The Finance Business Partner supports the Finance Director in creating a real and active partnership with both operations and management. This role is essential in delivering quality and best-practice financial management services that assist in decision-making at the company. The Finance Business Partner must be commercially aware of both operational and management requirements, bridging any gaps that may arise. Responsibilities include overseeing and guiding a range of financial management duties aligned with business needs, such as forecasting, profitability and project costing, transaction management, financial modeling, analysis, reporting, and performance monitoring—all in accordance with the company policies, procedures, and standards. Continuous evaluation of procedures is necessary to minimize business risks in various areas of the assigned unit.

Responsibilities
- Develop and manage statistical reports for exceptional income and expenditure items.
- Prepare monthly accruals, review preliminary financial statements, and provide necessary adjustments for finalization and sign-off by the Finance Director.
- Review the Balance Sheet along with preparation of supporting schedules.
- Prepare reports, forecasts, and budgets, and undertake financial modeling and analysis, including product and project costing.
- Interpret data and provide concise explanations on trends and variances.
- Provide coverage for other team members during periods of absence to ensure service continuity; conduct daily cross-checks of work.
- Make recommendations for continual improvement and support improvement initiatives undertaken by the company.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with relevant business units, functional areas, and key staff, including the provision of expert advice.
- Support the Finance Director with ad hoc requests, which may range from business restructuring to the preparation of business cases and policies.
- Ensure appropriateness of key assumptions included in financial plans and budgets.
- Present information in a digestible way to various audiences, ensuring clarity and appropriateness.
- Identify and engage key stakeholders to build relationships and persuade for successful outcomes.
- Advise on financial implications of any changes to business strategies for divisions.
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge and certification (CFA, CPA, CA) are essential.
