Roles and Responsibilities
- A Degree in Finance or a related field is preferred, with qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or similar.
- Minimum of 5 years of finance experience in a luxury hotel environment within the international luxury hospitality industry.
- Proven track record in achieving financial targets, managing budgets, and implementing cost control measures without compromising on quality and service.
- Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively within a group and across departments.
- Strong commitment to delivering exceptional financial services with passion.
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English.
- A proactive nature, coupled with a meticulous eye for detail.
- Flexible working hours aligned with business requirements across Dubai and the USA.
- Willingness to travel to New York as required for business needs.
- A hands-on attitude, fueled by a ‘Can-Do!’ spirit.
- Ensure the finance team produces month-end closing reports and all other essential management reports with accuracy and timeliness.
- Guarantee the balance sheets accurately reflect assets and liabilities, showcasing financial stability and transparency.
- Review balance sheets and verify that reconciliations are performed with the highest level of accuracy.
- Prepare detailed and insightful capital reviews as required by the Financial Controller.
- Work closely with the Financial Controller to provide comprehensive and accurate forecasting and budgeting proposals.
- Develop and implement best practices for financial accounting and control procedures, constantly reviewing processes to maximize efficiency.
- Comply with company policies and procedures, enhancing performance against the finance balanced scorecard.
- Conduct monthly finance update meetings, driving strategic financial discussions.
- Assist department heads in boosting their financial awareness, providing bespoke financial information to optimize their operations.
