Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and supervise daily accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with hotel policies and accounting standards.
- Manage cash flow and ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to provide insights for decision-making.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and operational efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws, accounting regulations, and hotel financial policies.
- Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
- Supervise and train junior finance staff, ensuring adherence to procedures and best practices.
- Provide guidance on financial procedures and resolve any accounting-related issues.
- Monitor and manage the hotel’s cash flow, ensuring sufficient funds are available for daily operations.
- Oversee cash handling processes and ensure that cash deposits are conducted in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist the Financial Controller with special projects, financial analysis, and system improvements.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Desired Skill & Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong experience with accounting software (e.g., Opera, SunSystems) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all departments.
- Knowledge of local tax laws and compliance regulations.
