We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Development & Support Engineer specializing in core banking solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for both the development and support of Finacle's core banking software, ensuring the successful implementation, customization, and ongoing maintenance of banking systems for our clients. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, collaborate with global teams, and make a significant impact in the banking industry.

Responsibilities

  • Software Development

    • Design, develop, and customize core banking solutions using the Finacle platform to meet client requirements and industry standards.
    • Implement new features, functionalities, and enhancements to Finacle core banking modules based on business needs and regulatory changes.
    • Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and project managers to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
    • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using Java, Oracle PL/SQL, and other relevant technologies.
    • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing to ensure the quality and reliability of developed software.
  • Technical Support

    • Provide technical support to clients during the implementation, integration, and post-production phases of core banking projects.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Finacle core banking software, including application errors, performance issues, and data discrepancies.
    • Communicate effectively with clients to gather requirements, provide updates on issue resolution progress, and offer guidance and best practices.
    • Document support tickets, resolutions, and troubleshooting procedures to build a comprehensive knowledge base and facilitate self-service support.
  • Customer Engagement

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by delivering exceptional customer service and support.
    • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions to educate clients on Finacle core banking functionalities, features, and best practices.
    • Gather feedback from clients regarding software usage, performance, and enhancement requests, and communicate insights to the product development team.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic guidance and recommendations for optimizing their core banking operations and leveraging Finacle solutions effectively.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in software development and technical support, with expertise in core banking systems and solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in Java programming language and Oracle PL/SQL, with experience in developing and customizing banking applications.
  • Familiarity with Finacle core banking platform or similar banking software is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing role or client services environment within the banking or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A proactive and customer-centric attitude, with a commitment to delivering high-quality support and solutions.
