About the Role
The Fire Alarm First Responder (FAFR) is responsible for providing an initial response capability within designated zones by responding to alarm activations within 180 seconds (3 minutes). In addition to this primary responsibility, the SAFR will conduct basic fire, health, and safety checks to ensure a safe working environment and report any defects related to fire equipment.

Key Accountabilities
- Respond promptly to fire alarms and emergency incidents within assigned areas.
- Assess incidents and determine whether they are confirmed fires or false alarms.
- Prepare incident reports and ensure compliance with fire safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Initiate fire-fighting actions where safe and within training limitations.
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, and record management of fire safety equipment, including portable fire extinguishers.
- Support and coordinate the safe evacuation of passengers, staff, and tenants.
- Liaise with Fire Commanders and relevant stakeholders during emergency response operations.
- Ensure evacuation procedures are implemented by all affected areas and occupants.
- Gather and communicate critical incident information to the Control Room and emergency services.
- Establish and maintain safety cordons to control access to affected areas.
Specific Requirements
- Basic Fire Extinguisher Training.
- First Aid Certification.
- Fire Warden Training.
- Health and Safety Certification.
- Good level of communication skills.
