About the Role
Are you a Firefighter looking for a new challenge with a multi-national company? We are seeking an experienced professional with a minimum of 5 years in fire/rescue services, including at least 2 years as a firefighter at an ICAO Category Five (5) airfield. This position will allow you to be a part of our Rescue & Firefighting Services (RFFS) team, where you will provide Airport Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) services to designated airfields compliant with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) requirements. You will respond to incidents including aircraft emergencies, structural fires, and hazardous material situations, among others.

Key Responsibilities

Firefighter
- Respond to aviation fire (ARFF) emergencies to prevent or extinguish fires and rescue passengers or crew using specialized equipment.
- Address structural fires (SRFF) involving various facilities and mitigate potential fire hazards using appropriate equipment.
- Wear provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).
- Apply firefighting techniques to manage additional incidents such as fuel spills to prevent aircraft fire or explosion.

Driver
- Operate fire vehicles during ARFF/SRFF emergencies, managing all vehicle movements and operational requirements.
- Conduct daily operational checks on vehicles and equipment, maintaining serviceability and readiness.
- Replenish vehicle water and agent/media tanks and ensure cleanliness.
- Report vehicle status and defects to Crew Manager and perform basic maintenance on equipment.

Control Room Operator
- Manage the control room on a shift basis and dispatch resources for reported emergencies.
- Monitor incoming alarms and signals regarding fire and emergency from various systems.
- Conduct exercises for emergency communication systems to ensure operational readiness.
- Maintain records in the RFFS operational logbook and assist in administrative tasks.
- Perform rescue operations and assist in casualty care under the guidance of medical services.
- Operate firefighting equipment efficiently and check all tools for proper functionality.
- Maintain clean and safe working environment in the station.
Specific Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in fire/rescue services, including 2 years as a firefighter at an ICAO Category Five (5) airfield or above.
- Military firefighting experience is an asset.
- Certified as ‘Medically Fit’ for the role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer-based dispatch/control systems.
- Valid heavy vehicle operator license in the United Arab Emirates.
- Minimum of 10 years of formal education.
- Possess fire and rescue qualifications at least equal to:
- ICAO Firefighter
- NFPA 1001 Firefighter I/II
- NFPA 1002 Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator
- NFPA 1003 Airport Firefighter
- NFPA 1061 Public Safety Telecommunicator I/II
- NFPA 472/1072 HAZMAT First Responder Technician Level
- First Aid/Basic Life Support Certification (Essential)
- SCBA Maintenance Technician (Desirable)
