Forward Deployed AI Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE
The company is seeking an entrepreneurial Forward Deployed AI Engineer to work at the intersection of AI engineering, product ownership, consulting, and client delivery. The role translates client and internal business challenges into secure, practical, and scalable agentic AI products, owning solutions from initial discovery and product definition through prototyping, deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement. Beyond individual client work, the position helps shape the company's emerging AI product portfolio by identifying repeatable use cases, developing reusable components and turning successful client solutions into scalable products and offerings.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with travel to client sites as required.

Head of AI.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work directly with consulting teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to understand business challenges, user needs, and opportunities for AI-enabled products.
• Own assigned AI solutions across the product lifecycle, including discovery, requirements definition, prototyping, testing, deployment, and adoption.
• Translate open-ended business problems into clear product requirements, user stories, technical specifications, and delivery roadmaps.
• Design, build, and deploy agentic AI applications using LLMs, RAG, workflow automation tools such as n8n, APIs, and client data sources.
• Support client demonstrations, workshops, pilots, implementation, documentation, training, and adoption, including presentations to senior government stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to convert bespoke client solutions into reusable modules, accelerators, and scalable products.
• Work with the Head of AI to shape product roadmaps, prioritize new capabilities, and evaluate technical and commercial opportunities.
• Maintain strong standards around security, data privacy, AI governance, evaluation, and production reliability.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
Essential Skills

• Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in software engineering, computer science, artificial intelligence, or a related discipline.
• AI & Technical Capability: Hands-on experience building and deploying AI solutions using Python, LLMs, RAG, APIs, agentic workflows, and automation tools such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, MCP, n8n, or equivalent platforms. Skilled in prompt engineering and AI evaluation; quick to learn and experiment with emerging AI technologies.
• Product Ownership: Proven end-to-end ownership of a digital or AI solution from discovery and requirements through prototyping, testing, deployment, adoption, and post-launch iteration — including at least one product taken from concept to successful delivery.
• Problem Solving: Strong structured and logical thinking; able to translate ambiguous client or business challenges into practical, scalable AI solutions and clear technical requirements. Entrepreneurial product mindset balancing user needs, feasibility, and commercial value while moving quickly from ambiguity to action and experimenting with emerging AI.
• Client Delivery & Communication: Confident working directly with clients and senior stakeholders; able to demonstrate solutions, facilitate workshops, and explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Project & Stakeholder Management: Ability to structure and manage AI projects, coordinate with consulting teams, technical stakeholders, and clients, and deliver effectively against agreed priorities and timelines.
• Language: Excellent written and spoken business English and Arabic.

Preferred skills

• Experience working with Saudi government or enterprise clients.
• Between 1–3 years of experience building software, automation, data, or applied AI solutions.
