Position

About the Role
The Office of the CEO (“OOTCEO”) – Chairman sits at the core of how the company raises capital, manages its board, and pursues corporate development, M&A, and various other mission-critical strategic initiatives. As the business scales quickly, the volume and pace of that work continues to grow.
As Founder’s Principal, you will work directly with the Co-CEO as an execution partner on the company’s highest-priority work: fundraising and capital strategy, investor relations, board management, and any of the priorities that sit at the top of the Co-CEO’s agenda. You will build the materials and analysis behind major decisions and work alongside sophisticated investors and board members. This is a fast-paced, high-ownership role with rare access to how a high-growth company is built and financed.
You will be in the room for live capital raises, board meetings, and strategic transactions, working with investors including Mubadala, Uber, and Woven Capital. The role is designed as a launchpad: strong performers will take on increasing ownership of workstreams and have a clear path into senior roles across the business.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Nature of impact
Shapes the analysis, materials, and preparation behind the company's most important capital, investor, and board decisions. Acts as an analytical partner to the OOTCEO, providing insight and forward-looking analysis (scenarios, forecasts, and sensitivities) to inform capital, investor, and board decisions, and supports engagement with investors and board members.
  • Scope affected
Group-wide: capital strategy and fundraising, investor and board relationships, corporate development and M&A, and strategic initiatives across the company's businesses.
  • Critical outcomes
Within your first 6-12 months, you will have:
    • Owned the preparation of board and advisory board materials, delivering complete, accurate packs on schedule each cycle.
    • Supported live fundraising and capital processes end to end, including investor materials, data room management, financial analysis, and follow-up.
    • Ran a consistent investor relations cadence, including investor updates and meeting preparation.
    • Delivered at least one corporate development or strategic project from analysis through to recommendation.
    • Become the OOTCEO's go-to person for ad hoc problems, with quick, reliable turnaround.
  • Scope of responsibilities:
    • Build investor presentations, board decks, and executive materials to a high standard on tight timelines.
    • Carry out financial and strategic analysis, including modelling, market and competitor analysis, and scenario work, to support capital and strategic decisions.
    • Prepare board and advisory board materials, coordinate inputs from across the business, and track follow-up actions.
    • Support fundraising and capital formation, including investor materials, data room management, and diligence responses.
    • Manage investor relations workstreams, including regular updates, reporting, and meeting preparation.
    • Support corporate development and M&A activity: target screening, analysis, diligence coordination, and transaction materials.
    • Take on troubleshooting and strategic initiatives as they arise, working across teams to get them done.

What You will need for this position

  • Experience
    • 5–7 years' experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, venture capital, or private equity.
    • A track record of producing high-quality analysis and materials in a demanding, deadline-driven environment.
    • Exposure to fundraising, capital markets, M&A, or investor-facing work.
    • Nice to have: exposure to mobility, fleet or asset finance, and autonomous vehicles.
  • Education and technical skills
    • Outstanding academic record, ideally in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field.
    • Excellent financial modelling and Excel skills.
    • Top-tier PowerPoint and storytelling: able to turn complex analysis into a clear, concise narrative.
    • Crisp, precise written English.
  • Behavioural traits and ways of working
    • Absolute discretion with confidential board, investor, and transaction information.
    • Sound judgement: knows when to decide and when to escalate.
    • High standards and attention to detail under time pressure.
    • Low ego: as happy organizing a data room as building the model.
    • Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-changing priorities.
    • Credible and composed in front of senior investors and board members.

Key Metrics

  • On-time, high-quality delivery of board and investor materials each cycle.
  • Turnaround time and quality of analysis on OOTCEO requests.
  • Progress of capital and fundraising processes against agreed milestones.
