KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct robust financial forecasting of business results and provide planning support for business expansion and strategic initiatives.
- Perform deep analysis of financial drivers and business metrics and effectively communicate key messages to influence business decisions.
- Manage key stakeholder relationships, including:
- IHDS: Analyze recharges, allocations, and capacity plans to drive efficiencies and reporting accuracy.
- Claims: Evaluate trends in claims volume, payments, provider trends, and identify opportunities for cost containment.
- Actuarial: Align financial planning efforts with key actuarial insights.
- Sales & Marketing: Identify trends in sales patterns and performance while connecting financial outcomes to marketing priorities.
- Support the preparation of quarterly forecast submissions and the annual operating plan.
- Oversee financial reporting and planning, collaborating closely with local accounting teams for accurate information sharing.
- Conduct entity analysis, providing detailed insights for Board and Management Committee meetings.
- Develop strong visual presentations and dashboards that are easily interpretable for senior leadership.
- Provide in-depth analysis of operational data, integrating financial and actuarial principles for alignment with broader business goals.
- Deliver timely and accurate analysis of business proposals across all functions of GIH.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Part Qualified or a Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field.
- A minimum of four years of financial analysis or related experience.
- General understanding of insurance products, procedures, and systems relevant to the specific functional area.
- Experience in the health insurance industry is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with matrix partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint are required.
- Experience working in a corporate and matrix environment, preferably with a technical background in the financial services industry.
