Key Responsibilities
- Deliver robust financial forecasting of business results and provide planning support for business expansion and strategic initiatives.
- Perform deep analysis of financial drivers and business metrics, effectively communicating key messages to influence business decisions.
- Engage in key stakeholder management, including:
- IHDS: Analyze recharges, allocations, and capacity plans to drive efficiencies and ensure reporting accuracy.
- Claims: Evaluate trends in claims volume, payments, provider trends, and identify opportunities for cost containment.
- Actuarial: Align financial planning with key actuarial insights.
- Sales & Marketing: Identify key trends in sales patterns and performance, linking financial outcomes to marketing priorities.
- Support the build of quarterly forecast submissions and the annual operating plan.
- Oversee CIMS financial reporting and planning, collaborating closely with local accounting teams for accurate information sharing.
- Provide entity analysis with detailed insights for Board and ManCo meetings.
- Create strong visual PowerPoints and dashboards that facilitate easy interpretation and use by senior leadership.
- Conduct deep analysis of GIH operational data, enhancing data analytics with key financial and actuarial principles to align outputs with broader business goals and needs.
- Deliver timely and accurate analysis of business proposals across all functions of GIH.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Part qualified or a Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field.
- Four or more years of financial analysis or related experience.
- General knowledge of insurance products, procedures, and systems pertinent to the functional area.
- Health insurance industry knowledge preferred.
- Experience working with matrix partners.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
- Experience working in a corporate and matrix environment is essential, ideally with technical knowledge of the financial services industry.
