Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, trace, investigate, and monitor fraudulent and suspicious activities within customer accounts and transactions.
- Make sound decisions to close or restrict risky transactions, determining if there is improper activity and assessing risks to customers.
- Track information from various sources and methodically follow up to stop the progression of fraud.
- Develop and identify patterns of fraud and security loopholes.
- Utilize technical skills to monitor data and activities from multiple sources to assist in investigations.
- Collaborate with the Manager to collect data needed for fraud mitigation efforts.
- Use technology for research, internal correspondence, and activity monitoring while identifying system improvements to mitigate fraud risk.
- Collaborate with the Manager in identifying fraud trends, creating mitigation strategies, and recommending changes to fraud detection strategies.
- Stay updated on professional knowledge and the latest trends in fraud prevention.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of related investigative experience with a focus on consumer fraud is preferred.
- Strong Excel skills are required; preference for experience with SQL and other analysis tools.
