About the Role
Linguists are essential contributors, utilizing their language skills and subject matter expertise to create and finalize documents before they reach the client. You will work under the guidance of your manager and in collaboration with Project Managers to translate and proofread documents for clients in the Insurance and Legal sectors. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the world.
We are currently looking to expand our database of freelance linguists who can translate:
- From English into Simplified Chinese (Singapore) in the fields of Legal and Insurance.

Responsibilities
- Translate and proofread documents accurately and effectively.
- Ensure the final product meets client specifications and maintains high quality standards.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain professionalism and clear communication, especially when under tight deadlines.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Simplified Chinese (Singapore).
- Specialized knowledge in the fields of Legal and Insurance.
- Acute attention to detail regarding spelling and grammar.
- Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations.
- Candidates in the Asian time zone are preferred.
Important Note
- Applicants will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement and complete free Translation and Proofreading tests to evaluate their skills.
- A background check will be conducted on all applicants.

Requirements
Candidates must fulfil any ONE of the following requirements:
- A Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or an equivalent degree with significant translation training) from a recognized institution.
- 2 years of translation experience along with a college degree.
- 5 years of translation experience without a college degree.
- A certificate of competence in translation awarded by an appropriate government body.
