Frontend Software Engineer - Saudi Only

About the Role
We are looking for a Frontend Software Engineer who is passionate about building high-quality user experiences, eager to learn quickly, and committed to modern engineering practices, including leveraging AI. This position is tailored for engineers with 0–2 years of professional experience who possess a solid foundation in frontend development and wish to thrive in an environment that emphasizes ownership, speed, quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement. What You Will Work On
Modern Frontend Development

• Build and maintain production-grade web applications using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Develop reusable, maintainable, and scalable frontend components.
• Translate product requirements and designs into clean, intuitive, and responsive user experiences.
• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and real-time communication services.
• Work with WebSockets / Socket.IO to create real-time user experiences.
• Manage event-driven flows connected to RabbitMQ and backend messaging systems.
• Handle real-time updates, reconnection scenarios, error states, and UI state synchronization.
• Manage server state efficiently using React Query / TanStack Query.
• Handle complex client-side state with Redux / Redux Toolkit as needed.
• Contribute to improvements in frontend architecture, performance, code organization, and maintainability.

Quality & Testing

• Write reliable unit and integration tests using Jest.
• Build and maintain end-to-end tests using Playwright.
• Thoroughly test your work before considering it complete.
• Actively participate in code reviews, learning from feedback.
• Identify potential regressions, edge cases, and production issues before they impact users.
• Systematically debug issues with a focus on root causes rather than quick fixes.
• Write easily understood, reviewable, testable, and maintainable code.

AI-Enabled Engineering

• Utilize AI as an engineering accelerator for research, prototyping, implementation, debugging, testing, and refactoring.
• Provide AI tools with the proper context, requirements, and constraints to generate meaningful results.
• Critically analyze and validate AI-generated code.
• Utilize AI to automate repetitive tasks, allowing more time for substantive engineering challenges.
• Continuously seek and apply better AI-assisted workflows to enhance productivity and engineering velocity.
• Maintain high standards for quality, security, performance, and maintainability regardless of code origin.

Ownership & Collaboration

• Take full ownership of your work from requirement gathering to implementation, testing, review, and production.
• Clearly communicate when requirements are unclear or when technical risks arise.
• Collaborate closely with a team of frontend engineers, backend engineers, QA, product managers, and designers.
• Foster a problem-solving mentality to investigate and unblock yourself.
• Provide and accept constructive feedback during reviews and discussions.
• Support team members and share knowledge actively.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
• 0–2 years of professional frontend development experience.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience in building applications with React.
• Good grasp of TypeScript and the principles of type-safe development.
• Familiarity with React fundamentals, including components, hooks, state management, rendering, and component lifecycle.
• Experience in frontend integration with APIs and managing asynchronous data.
• Knowledge of React Query / TanStack Query and Redux / Redux Toolkit is a plus.
• Understanding of frontend testing and familiarity with tools like Jest and Playwright.
• Basic knowledge of real-time frontend architectures utilizing WebSockets / Socket.IO.
• Understanding of message queues and event-driven systems, particularly RabbitMQ.
• Ability to identify and address common real-time challenges such as reconnection issues and data synchronization.
• Strong command of HTML, CSS, responsive design, and browser fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development practices.
• Capable of debugging issues rather than relying solely on workarounds.
• Ability to write code that is clean, maintainable, and readable.
• Practical experience with AI tools to enhance software engineering productivity.
