The HVAC BIM Modeler is pivotal in developing, coordinating, and maintaining detailed Building Information Models (BIM) for HVAC systems. Utilizing tools such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks, the modeler is responsible for creating precise 3D models that encompass ductwork, chilled water piping, ventilation systems, HVAC equipment, and other related services based on engineering and design drawings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain detailed HVAC BIM models.
  • Create accurate 3D models for all HVAC components.
  • Coordinate HVAC systems with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting services to identify and resolve clashes before construction.
  • Prepare detailed shop drawings, coordination drawings, sections, layouts, schedules, and installation drawings.
  • Review project specifications and consultant drawings, incorporating necessary design changes.
  • Update BIM models based on site requirements and ensure compliance with project standards.
  • Participate in BIM coordination meetings, clash detection, model review, and construction documentation.
  • Support engineers and site teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and their components.
  • Experience in producing detailed shop and coordination drawings.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to effectively resolve design clashes.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining project standards.

Contract & Travel Details
