An Electrical QA/QC Engineer is crucial in ensuring that all electrical installation works are conducted in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and applicable regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and monitor electrical installation works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project quality standards.
- Conduct inspections of cable trays, cable pulling, conduit installations, wiring, distribution boards, switchgear, lighting systems, earthing, and electrical equipment.
- Prepare, review, and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and quality control procedures.
- Review electrical material submittals, technical documents, method statements, and material inspection requests.
- Coordinate with consultants, project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors for electrical inspections and approvals.
- Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), and other quality documentation.
- Ensure electrical installations comply with approved shop drawings, project specifications, and applicable IEC and other relevant standards.
- Monitor electrical testing and commissioning activities, including insulation resistance, continuity, earth resistance, and functional testing.
- Identify non-conformities, raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, test reports, and equipment documentation.
- Ensure proper installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems in accordance with project requirements.
- Support quality audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and project-specific quality management procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Relevant experience in electrical QA/QC for construction, MEP, commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
- Good knowledge of electrical drawings, specifications, inspection procedures, and testing requirements.
- Familiarity with IEC standards, project quality procedures, and applicable UAE regulations.
- Experience in preparing ITPs, inspection checklists, MIRs, IRs, and NCRs.
- Strong technical, documentation, communication, and coordination skills.
- UAE project experience is preferred.
