Position

As an FSTD Support Engineer I-EN, you will be responsible for supporting the Flight Simulator Training Devices and Cabin Crew Training Devices. Your key duties include:

  • Attending maintenance calls, device setup, conversions, and demos.
  • Assisting during SFTs/PVCs and performing snag clearance.
  • Independently performing Preventive Maintenance Tasks (PMTs) and Daily Readiness (DR) checks on training devices and associated systems.
  • Ensuring that PMTs are conducted according to standards and signed off.
  • Following up on PMT-raised deficiencies and ensuring timely closure.
  • Carrying out recurrent QTG runs and addressing deficiencies promptly.
  • Troubleshooting issues and collaborating with QTG specialists for resolutions.
  • Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving training device issues while updating DRs promptly.
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues and other departments (logistics, scheduling, training department, etc.) to enhance training delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitoring Simissues and actioning/updating issues assigned to the on-site team.
  • Utilizing the Maintenance Management System to record, track, and review maintenance activities.
  • Complying with local and global CAE Environmental Health & Safety standards and safe working procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Aviation Field with 3-5 years of related work experience.
  • Excellent proficiency in the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Strong customer-oriented attitude and ability to handle sensitive situations tactfully.
  • Good workmanship and a collaborative team player.
  • Initiative and capability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
  • Understanding of aircraft terminology and simulation training devices.
  • Ability to interpret schematics and technical documents related to simulation training devices.
  • Knowledge of Analog and Digital principles and theory.
  • Proficient troubleshooting skills for Electronic, Electric, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems.
  • Skilled in using test equipment and software diagnostics tools.
  • Basic understanding of Avionics, Motion, and Visual Systems.
  • Good computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of computer mainframe/architecture, networking, and operating systems (Windows NT/XP, UNIX, Linux, AIX).

Language Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written.
