The FSTD Support Engineer I-EN is responsible for supporting the Flight Simulator Training Devices and Cabin Crew Training Devices by attending maintenance calls, setting up devices, and conducting demonstrations. This role involves independently performing Preventive Maintenance Tasks (PMTs) and Daily Readiness (DR) checks on training devices and associated systems, ensuring that PMTs are completed per standards. The engineer will address raised deficiencies in a timely manner, support QTG runs, troubleshoot issues, and work collaboratively with both senior colleagues and other departments to enhance training delivery.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support Flight Simulator Training Devices and Cabin Crew Training Devices.
  • Perform PMTs and Daily Readiness checks on training devices and systems.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on PMTs raised deficiencies.
  • Conduct all recurrent QTG runs and address deficiencies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to training devices.
  • Work with senior staff on AOGs, communicating information to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor Simissues and action/update assigned issues.
  • Carry out requested tests and provide feedback.
  • Act on Snags and SPRs to meet SLA targets.
  • Utilize the Maintenance Management System for tracking maintenance activities.
  • Comply with health and safety standards and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Aviation Field with 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Customer-oriented, engaged, and motivated individual.
  • Capable of working tactfully in sensitive situations with good workmanship.
  • Strong team player with initiative to work under minimal supervision.
  • Flexible with a capacity to adapt to shifting schedules.
  • Understanding of aircraft terminology and simulation training devices.
  • Ability to interpret schematics and technical documents related to training devices.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital principles, with troubleshooting skills in electronic, electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficient with test equipment and software diagnostic tools.
  • Basic understanding of avionics, motion, and visual systems.
  • Good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic knowledge of computer mainframe architecture and operating systems (Windows NT/XP, UNIX, Linux, AIX).

Language Requirements:

  • Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
