Position

About This Role: As an FSTD Support Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the Flight Simulator Training Devices and Cabin Crew Training Devices. Your primary duties will include attending maintenance calls, device setup, conversions, and demos, as well as independently performing the Preventive Maintenance Tasks (PMTs) and Daily Readiness (DR) on the training devices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Attend maintenance calls, device setup, conversions, and demonstrations.
  • Assist during SFTs/PVCs and perform snag clearance.
  • Ensure that PMTs are conducted according to standards and signed off.
  • Follow up on PMT raised deficiencies to ensure timely action and closure.
  • Ensure recurrent QTG runs are completed, with deficiencies addressed in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot related issues and collaborate with QTG specialists for resolution.
  • Communicate with colleagues and other departments to improve training delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor Sim issues and action/update resolves assigned to the on-site team.
  • Record, track, and review maintenance activities using the Maintenance Management System.
  • Comply with local and global CAE Environmental Health & Safety standards.

Job-Related Skills/Background:

  • Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Aviation Field.
  • 3-5 years of related work experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language (spoken and written).
  • Strong customer orientation and the ability to manage sensitive situations tactfully.
  • Good workmanship and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Comfortable working flexible shifts and adapting to changing schedules.
  • Understanding of aircraft terminology and simulation training devices.
  • Ability to interpret schematics and technical documents.
  • Knowledge of Analog and Digital principles, with troubleshooting skills in Electronic, Electric, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems.
  • Proficient in using test equipment and software diagnostics tools.
  • Familiarity with Avionics, Motion, and Visual Systems.
  • Good computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of computer mainframe/architecture, networking, and operating systems (Windows NT/XP, UNIX, Linux, AIX).

Language Requirements:

  • Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.
