Position

As an FSTD Support Engineer I, you will be responsible for supporting the Flight Simulator Training Devices and Cabin Crew Training Devices. Your duties will include attending maintenance calls, performing device setup, conversions, and demos, and assisting during Simulator Functional Tests (SFTs) and Performance Validity Checks (PVCs). You will independently conduct Preventive Maintenance Tasks (PMTs) and Daily Readiness (DR) checks on the training devices and associated systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure PMTs are completed to standards and signed off.
  • Follow up on PMT deficiencies promptly until resolution.
  • Conduct collective recurrent QTG runs and action deficiencies as needed.
  • Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with QTG specialists for resolution.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve training device issues, updating associated DRs swiftly.
  • Monitor Sim issues and take necessary actions to meet Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets.
  • Utilize the Maintenance Management System for tracking and reviewing maintenance activities.
  • Comply with the company Environmental Health & Safety standards safely and efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Aviation Field.
  • 3-5 years of related work experience.
  • Excellent command of the English Language (spoken and written).
  • Customer-oriented with the ability to handle sensitive situations tactfully.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and under minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
  • Familiarity with aircraft terminology and simulation training devices.
  • Proficient in interpreting schematics and technical documents.
  • Knowledge of Analog and Digital principles, troubleshooting of electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Strong skills in using test equipment and software diagnostics tools.
  • Basic understanding of avionics, motion systems, and visual systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of computer networking and operating systems (Windows NT/XP, UNIX, Linux, AIX).

Language Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written.
