Position

Join the company as a FSTD Support Technician II, where you will be integral in supporting Flight Simulator Training Devices and Cabin Crew Training Devices. Your responsibilities will include attending maintenance calls, device setup, conversions, demos, and assisting during SFTs/PVCs. You will perform Preventive Maintenance Tasks (PMTs) and Daily Readiness (DR) on training devices and associated systems. Executing PMTs according to standards, ensuring deficiencies are actioned, followed up, and closed in a timely manner will be part of your role. Additionally, you will run recurrent QTGs and conduct low-level troubleshooting using schematics and aircraft/device system documentation.

Utilizing the Maintenance Management System to record, track, and review all maintenance activities is essential. Planning, supervising, and producing reports for routine technical tasks, providing On-the-Job Training (OJT) to Simulator Technicians I and Simulator Technical Assistants, and creating, improving, and updating procedures and guidelines for routine technical tasks are all key responsibilities.

You will also assist with updates of various databases and maintain records in an up-to-date and accessible manner, support logistics duties including annual inventories and packing for shipping, perform general administrative duties, and additional tasks in support of the technical services group as required. Compliance with the company Environmental Health & Safety standards and exercising a duty of care for personal safety and the safety of others are imperative.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Aviation field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of related work experience.
  • Good command of the English language, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to perform Preventive Maintenance Tasks and Daily Readiness on simulation training devices.
  • Adequate troubleshooting skills across electronic, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to interpret schematics and technical documents related to simulation training devices.
  • Capability to use test equipment efficiently and safely.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of computer networking.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing schedules and shift patterns.
  • Suitable understanding of aircraft terminology and simulation training devices.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work under minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Highly engaged and motivated individual.
  • Strong customer orientation with the ability to manage sensitive situations tactfully.
  • Strong workmanship and ability to effectively contribute within a team.
  • Ability to provide On-the-Job Training to junior technicians.

Language Requirements: Good command of English, both spoken and written.
