The Artificial Intelligence and Digital Science Research Centre (AIDRC) serves as the machine learning powerhouse of the company, collaborating with other research centers to harness AI across various domains, including healthcare, cybersecurity, and advanced technology systems. AIDRC focuses on incorporating core elements of intelligence, such as perception, sensing, planning, and language, into the design and prototyping of next-generation systems. The center is dedicated to building advanced AI computing and scalable software stacks to enhance systems infrastructure significantly.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design and implement end-to-end AI applications, developing responsive frontends and robust backend services.
- Create intuitive, production-grade user interfaces for AI products, such as chat experiences, document workflows, and analytics dashboards.
- Integrate large language model (LLM) capabilities into application flows, including streaming responses and human-in-the-loop interactions.
- Build and maintain APIs and data flows to connect AI services to enterprise systems and external integrations.
- Oversee non-functional requirements such as performance, accessibility, and error handling across the full stack.
- Collaborate with AI engineers, product owners, designers, and client-facing teams to rapidly iterate from prototype to production.
- Establish and enhance frontend and full-stack engineering standards, including reusable component libraries and testing practices.
Job Specification:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 8 years of experience building and deploying production full-stack web applications.
- Strong proficiency in modern frontend development (React, TypeScript, modern CSS).
- Backend skills in Python (FastAPI, Flask) and REST API design.
- Experience with AI-powered applications and conversational UX patterns.
- Understanding of authentication and enterprise integration patterns (OAuth/OIDC, SSO).
- Comfort with containerized deployment (Docker, Kubernetes) and modern DevOps workflows.
- Strong product sensibility and capability to transform ambiguous requirements into polished features.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
Additional Skills:
- Publication in prestigious conferences and journals.
- Open source contributions, especially to UI libraries or AI developer tools.
- Experience with real-time interfaces for streaming AI responses.
- Strong design sensibility, with experience in collaboration with designers.
- Experience in building bilingual (Arabic and English) user interfaces or AI applications in regulated industries.
